Troop Meeting - - Prep for Summer Camp

Tonight the scouts chose to postpone their outing to Liberty Land to prepare for scout camp. Taylor Cline helped organize efforts as the scouts prepared the camp kitchen - - identifying various supplies for cooking, a few things we need to buy before camp, and washing pots, pans, cooking utensils, and the container for them. Brother Dan Williams is working on readying the troop tents. Brother Iain Hunter joined us for the first part of our meeting.

Greg Jones, substituting for Brother Mark Walton, completed Brother Walton's lesson on the proper use of agency.

Troop Meeting

The scouts went through the troop trailer and closet, cleaning, organizing, and identifying equipment for use at summer camp. Assistant Scoutmaster Taylor Cline and Brother Dan Williams provided excellent energy and guidance to the effort.

Priesthood Meeting

The scouts joined the other young men and leaders of the Grandview Ninth Ward to practice "Come, Come Ye Saints" in preparation for singing in Sacrament Meeting today. Brother Mark Walton began a lesson on choices and agency, and the scouts went to Primary to escort Morgan Hunter and welcome him to the Deacons Quorum.

Troop Meeting - Grandview Ninth Ward YM / YW Combined Activity

The scouts were responsible for the activity tonight. Brother Dan Williams organized a game of capture the flag and shopped for ice cream all enjoyed after the game.

The scouts painted a bedroom for a sister in the Grandview Ninth Ward. Assistant Scoutmaster Taylor Cline made all the arrangements for this service activity.

Priesthood Meeting

The scouts joined the other young men of the Grandview Ninth Ward to practice "Come, Come Ye Saints," which the young men will sing in sacrament meeting on July 19. Afterward, Brother Mark Walton taught a brief lesson on the Word of Wisdom.
